In this tutorial we are going to use
the Magic Wand
and Flood fill
Tools
save the image above by right clicking
on it and choosing "Save Picture As"

Select "My Pictures" in the "Save In"
box, name your file and click SAVE 
Open Paintshop Pro and go to
FILE - BROWSE
TO BROWSE IN PSP X
(10) see
HERE

Find your image and double click on
it, it should now be open in PSP.
Select the MAGIC WAND
and use these settings

Make sure MODE
is set to ADD
You may have to
look in the selection tools for the Magic Wand

select the sections
(the triangles on the star) you wish to colour by
clicking inside each one
You should now see the dotted lines
appear (Marching Ants) inside each section as shown
below

On your Toolbar at the top go to
SELECTIONS - MODIFY -
EXPAND

you will get this box

Select Number Of Pixels 2
Click OK
Activate the FLOODFILL TOOL
PSP 8/9 >
PSPX >
and use these settings

Now move your cursor over the
MATERIALS PALETTE
and LEFT click to select your
colour

Your chosen colour will now appear in
your foreground box

Repeat this to choose the colour you
want to put in the centre of the image but this time
RIGHT CLICK
With your 2 chosen colours the
MATERIALS PALETTE should look like this

LEFT click in each of the
selected triangles, this will apply the foreground
colour you chose
now go to SELECTIONS - SELECT
NONE

This is what you should have now

Select the MAGIC WAND again
and click inside the centre part of
your image


Select the FLOODFILL TOOL
PSP 8/9 >
PSPX (10) >
and RIGHT click inside the selected centre, this
will apply the colour you put in the Background box.

GO TO SELECTIONS - MODIFY -
EXPAND

Expand by 2 again,
click ok.
While the "Marching Ants" are still
selected go to
EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS -
DROP SHADOW

Apply these settings

Apply the Drop Shadow again, this time
putting -2 in the Vertical and Horizontal boxes.
Go to SELECTIONS - SELECT
NONE

Now select the MAGIC WAND again
Click on the white background of the
image to select it

Select the FLOODFILL
PSP 8/9 >
PSP X (10)>
tool
again and move your cursor over the MATERIALS PALETTE
, LEFT click to select your colour.
Now LEFT click in the selected
background.
Go to SELECTIONS - SELECT
NONE
You should now have your completed
image


Go to FILE - SAVE AS

Save as
